Newark Reads! student reading camp set for July

Newark City Schools is providing Newark Reads!, a summer reading camp for students, this July. This year the camp will be a virtual reading camp focused on exploring new and engaging books to learn more about the world and about ourselves. Students will have weekly Zoom sessions with teacher mentors and their fellow readers to discuss their reading and share out their thinking. Don't worry; there are no wrong answers in reading camp! We just want to read a good book together and talk about it! Students will be provided with engaging, high-interest books at all grade levels with varying levels of choice. Students will then be provided reading kits, which will include their book, at one of our designated lunch pick-up sites. Newark Reads! is open to ALL Newark City Schools students. Please complete the registration form separately for each student. Click here to register for Newark Reads! More +
