Rally in the Alley Back-to-School event set for July 30
Newark City Schools' 11th Annual Rally in the Alley Back to School Event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on July 30 at The Works, LeFevre Courtyard. The annual event provides NCS students with free school supplies, school uniforms, free haircut vouchers, and the opportunity for students and parents to link with various support or resource organizations. Students need to be present in order to receive a uniform package. Supplies and Uniforms are limited until supplies last. If you would like to make a donation, Please contact Terrell White at

Licking County Veggie Van locations around Licking County
The Licking County Health Department and Local Matters (Columbus), in partnership with the Mobile Grocery Store Committee, a coalition of community organizations and members, are piloting 4 pop-up Veggie Vans around Licking County this summer. Licking County Veggie Van is a mobile grocer that provides affordable, convenient access to healthy food options! Veggie Van accepts cash, credit, SNAP/EBT, and Produce Perks. Everyone is welcome to use this service.

Summer Intervention for students with IEPs - sign up now
Students with IEPs and who receive services for reading, math and/or writing are eligible to sign up for summer intervention. Summer intervention will be held at Newark High School from 8 a.m. until noon Monday through Thursday, three weeks during the summer: June 6-9; July 18-21; and August 1-4. You may sign up for one, two or all three weeks. Registration will be required to be completed 7 days prior to the start of each week of intervention. Busing will be provided if selected at time of registration. Sign up at the following link:

Summer School applications for 2022
Summer School applications for 2022 are now available. The first semester lasts from June 6 through 24; the second semester lasts from June 27 through July 15. Courses taken for credit recovery are free for Newark students. The cost is $153 for one semester and $204 for both for Newark students, or $230 and $300 or out-of-district students. Middle school classes are only offered during the second semester, and fees are free for class re-takes. Click below for applications:
