NHS 2021 graduation ceremony and program
The Newark High School Class of 2021 will graduate during its ceremony at 10 a.m. on Sat., May 29, at White Field. The program will stream live on the district Facebook page and the Wildcat Network's Vimeo page. It will also air on Spectrum channel 1021 later. 1-to-1 device initiative launching in the fall
1-to-1 device initiative launching in the fall

Every student in Newark City Schools will have access to a computer during the 2021-22 school year and beyond through a one-to-one device initiative. The district has purchased more than 3,100 Chromebooks with grant money — enough for every student in grades 6-12 — and will use existing devices to provide in-school access to all elementary students. The $1.2 million purchase is made possible through many grants: $419,000 from the City of Newark’s COVID-relief funds; $535,000 from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund; and $270,000 from Special Education funds.

The Newark High School Class of 2021 has big plans for after graduation. They're headed to the military, cosmetology school, and a variety of community colleges, four-year universities and adult education centers. They're attending schools from Pennsylvania to Texas and Michigan to Florida, with many staying local to Central Ohio. Click here to view a map of where the 2021 graduates are headed.
