Summer Intervention for students with IEPs - sign up now
Students with IEPs and who receive services for reading, math and/or writing are eligible to sign up for summer intervention. Summer intervention will be held at Newark High School from 8 a.m. until noon Monday through Thursday, three weeks during the summer: June 6-9; July 18-21; and August 1-4. You may sign up for one, two or all three weeks. Registration will be required to be completed 7 days prior to the start of each week of intervention. Busing will be provided if selected at time of registration. Sign up at the following link:

April 2022 Citizens of the Month
Every month, Newark City Schools honors 30 students in grades 4 through 12 from across the district as Citizens of the Month during a special luncheon. These students are chosen for their leadership, character, respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship. This month’s event was sponsored by the Energy Cooperative. Kindergarten registrations now open for 2022-23 school year
It's time to register for kindergarten for the 2022-23 school year! Children who will turn 5 years old by Sept. 30, 2022, are eligible to enter kindergarten for the 2022-23 school year. Registrations can be completed online by clicking the following link:

We are holding kindergarten registration during the weeks of April 4 and 11; registrars will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with the office staying open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays April 6 and 13. Every month, Newark City Schools honors 30 students in grades 4 through 12 from across the district as Citizens of the Month during a special luncheon. These students are chosen for their leadership, character, respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship. This month’s event was sponsored by the Lions Club of Newark, Ohio. The Cherry Valley Elementary drama club performed during the event. Congratulations to the March 2022 Citizens of the Month!
