A Snapshot of Mrs. Doyle

I grew up in a small country town called Mesopotamia, located in northeast Ohio with my parents, two brothers, six sisters and oodles of farm animals. I attended Bloomfield High School where my favorite activity was performing in the musicals. I became acquainted with central Ohio during my undergraduate studies at Denison University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication in 1995.

After graduating from Denison I lived in California for two years and worked for a healthcare company. During this time I gained experience in customer relations and proposal writing but could never shake the feeling that I was missing out on working with children. Following my intuition, I relocated back to central Ohio to achieve my Master’s degree in education through The Ohio State University. I began teaching in 2001 for the Newark City Schools.

I enjoy working children and have a deep enthusiasm for teaching. Throughout my childhood my parents were my biggest cheerleaders and support in achieving my goals, so I know that positive praise and reinforcement are imperative. Together you and I will be the cheering team to help your child feel and achieve success in his/her learning and social skills. I look forward to working with your family this year. Please keep in close communication and with any concerns and success stories you have as the year progresses. My classroom door is always open!

Family: I have a kind and caring husband and a son, Matthew, born April 9, 2013. Our Goldendoodle puppies, Bailey and Zoey, are very much a part of our family, too!

Interests: When I am not teaching, I enjoy live theatre, Broadway music, reading, movies, puzzles, scrapbooking and spending time with my family and friends.

Favorite Food: Italian and Mediterranean food make my tummy very happy.

Personality/Demeanor: People describe me as bubbly, energetic, consistent, caring, intelligent and fun.
