Writing about Reading

  • Which animal did you like the best? Try drawing and labeling your favorite animal, you can pick any animal for your favorite. It does not have to be from the story.
  • After listening to the story, try writing or drawing some of the animals you remember seeing in the story. Can you remember 3 or more?

Art: Eric Carle uses unique and creative ways to make his art for his illustrations. He uses layers of different types of  paper and paint. If you have supplies for painting and making something, try using the ideas from this website to make a sea turtle, or your choice of an animal, from the story. http://hollysartcorner.blogspot.com/2011/06/eric-carle-inspired-art.html
