Title: Come on, Rain by: Karen Hessse

Opening Move / Book Introduction: In this story, Tessie is begging for rain to come because they are going through a heat wave and the rain finally comes.  As you are listening, think about the important things that happen in this story. 


Stopping Point #1: (pg. 12)  Why do you think Mamma is hesitant about letting Tessie go outside? What makes you think that? 


Stopping Point #2: (pg. 18)  How do you think Tessie feels about rain? How do you know? 


Stopping Point #3: (pg. 28 - end) What were some important things that happened in the story? What was something that happened in the beginning? The middle? The end? 


Writing about Reading related to the read aloud text:
