Newark High School Theatre Department will present "Leaving Iowa," a comedy about family vacations, on Friday and Saturday, November 19 and 20, at 7 p.m. in the NHS Auditorium. Every month, Newark City Schools honors 30 students in grades 4 through 12 from across the district as Citizens of the Month during a special luncheon. These students are chosen for their leadership, character, respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship. This month’s event was sponsored by Park National Bank. Newark Bands' Pancake dinner and Craft Bazaar are coming up this week:Pancake Dinner: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, in the NHS Commons, with Concert in the gym at 8 p.m. Prices are $7 for Adults and $5 for Seniors/StudentsCraft Bazaar: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, in the Auxiliary Gym. Admission is $1, and children under 14 are free.
