Newark City Schools will offer summer programming opportunities for students at all grade levels this summer. Please click each below link for registration forms and more information:
- Digital Video Skills Camp: June 1-4. June 1-4: If you signed up for Video Skills Camp, they will meet upstairs above the main office at NHS at 8:30 A.M. Grades 6-12. Learn how to create amazing slideshows and highlight videos in our first ever Digital Video Camp! This four day camp will let you explore your creative side while you learn how to create amazing videos, sports highlight reels, and fire Tik Toks and YouTube videos.
- STEM Camp: June 14-18. STEM Camp is open to students headed into grades 2-12 and provides hands-on learning in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.
- Foreign Language Camp: June 21-25. Foreign Language Camp is designed for students who have completed grades 4-6 to get introduced to foreign language offerings in the district.
- MS Orchestra Camp (experienced musicians): June 21-25. Join Mrs. Rudd, Orchestra Director at Newark High School, for a week of playing and expanding the skills you learned during the school year. On the last day of camp, we invite parents/guardians to come to the last hour of camp and hear a concert of what we’ve learned throughout the week! Members of this camp will also perform at the Canal District Farmer’s Market downtown Newark on the last day of camp.

- Count Me In Math Camp Grades 1-6: June 28-July 2 and/or July 19-23. (see links for information about each grade level's camp)
- Count Me In Math Camp Grades 7-12
- Newark Reads Camp: June 28-July 2 and/or July 26-30. For all students entering grades 1-12.
- Newark Makes Camp: July 5-9. For all students entering grades 8-12. Students will work in the "maker space" at the high school, working in project design.
- Newark Codes Camp: July 12-16. Coding camp for grades 3-12. Join us for Newark Codes! No matter your coding experience, this camp is for you! Each day we will introduce you to new aspects of coding. Your coding knowledge will be put to the test as you build and code a robot. Wrap up the week with a coding challenge, and leave with additional resources to continue your coding journey.
- Newark Codes Camp: July 12-16
- Beginner Orchestra Camp: July 12-16. Students who are starting orchestra in the fall can actually get a head-start this summer! Students will learn the basic elements of playing their instrument - like proper playing posture, reading notes and rhythms, how to hold the bow, etc. This is a one-week summer class for students new to orchestra. This class is highly recommended for all beginners.
- Art Camp: July 19-23. Grades 4-8. Are you looking for a way to brighten your day? Want to make your creativity shine? Catch a ray of light at the NCS Art Camp. Enhance your art skills and learn new techniques, all while exploring the brilliance and beauty of this year’s theme, the Sun (without that painful sunburn).
