In this story, Farmer Brown receives a note from the cows on his farm asking him for some electric blankets. As I read, I want you to pay attention to how the cows write each note in this story, because at the end of it, I am going to ask you to write your very own note to Farmer Brown.

Writing about Reading: Pretend you are an animal on Farmer Brown’s Farm. Write your own note to Farmer Brown asking him for something that you would like to have on the farm. Be sure to include why Farmer Brown should listen to you in your note.
