Book Introduction:  In this realistic fiction story, A Bike Like Sergio’s written by Maribeth Boelts, Ruben wants a bike just like his friend Sergio’s.  The problem is, his family cannot afford to buy a bike.  One day, while Ruben is at the store, he sees a lady drop some money.  He scoops it up without anyone noticing.  When he gets home, he sees that it is a $100 bill.  Now he can buy the bike he has always wanted.  In the following days, while deciding how to get the bike, he loses the $100.  Read to find out what happens and how he feels when he loses the money.  As I am reading, think about whether or not Ruben should have given back the money he found.  Be ready to give reasons to support your thinking.
