Title: Nuts to You

By Lois Elhert

Writing about Reading:

After listening to the story, think about a time you have observed a type of animal. Have you ever seen a rabbit out in the yard? Have you seen birds flying around and in trees? Have you seen squirrels? Maybe you have seen a skunk wondering, or a raccoon? What do you think they were doing when you saw them? What do animals need to stay alive? Are they hunting for food when animals go out and about? Are they looking for things to build their homes/nests?

Write what you think an animal is doing when they are going around in someone's yard or trees. Draw a picture of your animal and label it.
