 Tasks: 

• Using page 23 as a guide, draw and label the parts of the flower and other items in the illustration (stem, roots, leaves, etc.) 

• Page 23

• Shape activity- Complete a directed drawing of a daisy

• Start with a circle in the middle of your paper. The size of a quarter. 

• Draw a flower petal above  the circle. 

• Continue to make flower petals next to and all around the circle until you have 8 flower petals. 

• We want to make our flower look very big so we are going to add more petals behind our first row of flower petals by filling in any space between the flower petals. 

• Below the flower draw two lines to make a flower stem.

• Add a leaf beside the stem.  

• In front of the stem draw some grass. 

• Write your name above the flower. 

Shape Activity - Needed Materials:  

1. Paper 

2. Something to write with (Pencil, crayons, colored pencils, or markers)

Science Activity - Watch the video of the sunflower growing. In your journal write or draw what is happening or changing.
