Newark City Schools families:
Our district staff members are working hard to prepare the lessons that will begin on March 30. We hope that everyone at home is staying safe and taking advantage of the many great learning opportunities available online.
We are also continuing to feed our children. Over the past two days, we have handed out more than 2,000 breakfasts and more than 2,000 lunches. Meals are available to pick up at each of our buildings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Wednesday and Thursday. They will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the elementary buildings. We encourage all children to take advantage of these meals if possible.
As the governor has urged, please continue to practice social distancing. I know this is a difficult time for everybody, but by following these suggestions, we can get through this crisis stronger than before.
