Grades 1-5 and Kindergarten Open Houses
Thank you so much for your wonderful attendance, excitement and support of your children at Legend Elementary Open Houses held August 17th (Grades 1-5) and August 23rd (Kindergarten), respectively. It was estimated that just under 90% of our students were represented over the two nights. Thanks!
Upcoming September Dates
Tuesday, September 13th - PLEASE RETURN LEGEND ELEMENTARY SPIRIT WEAR ORDERS.
Tuesday, September 14th - Legend Elementary Picture Day
Wednesday, September 15th - Kindergarten Math Game Night - 5:30-6:30 - Please join us for an enjoyable time while learning about Math Games that enrich your child’s learning. Adults, PLEASE wear a mask to this event.
Thursday, September 16th - Two Hour Late Arrival for Students Doors will open at 10:00. Late arrival day is also “bike or walk to school day”.
Friday, September 24th - Harvest Day
Tuesday, September 28th - The Columbus Zoo will visit Legend Elementary.
Thursday, September 30th - Annual Fundraiser Begins
Birthday Celebrations/Treats for Students
Thank you so much to parents/guardians who have already provided treats and/or school supplies for students while celebrating birthdays in the classroom. We appreciate your efforts very much. For others who might be interested in this activity, please provide treats that are store bought and be aware that we have students who have peanut allergies. We will deliver items to your child’s classroom when you drop them off. Thanks!
Fidgets/Pokemon Cards/Toys
We have asked students to leave Fidgets, Pokemon Cards and Toys at home during the school day unless they have been permitted by their teacher. Unfortunately, they sometimes become a distraction and disruption. With constant educational activities including various centers, STEM activities, computer math games and many other classroom resources, we hope to keep students very engaged. Also, students have days when they are invited to bring special items to school.
Welcome New Teachers!
We would like to Welcome our new teachers to Legend Elementary.
Mrs. Emily Barrett - Art Teacher
Mrs. Barrett graduated from Miami University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education.
Ms. Erin Carter - 4th Grade Teacher
Ms. Carter graduated from The Ohio State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Mrs. Michelle Olejarcyzk - 4th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Olejarcyzk attended Bob Jones University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
Mrs. Alisha Young - 4th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Young is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned both an Associate of Arts Degree as a Theatre Major and a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
