Title VI-B Funds

The Newark City Schools Special Education Department will be applying for Title VI-B grant monies for the 2016-2017 school year. These are federal funds used to support the education of students with disabilities attending the Newark City Schools. Each year the district collects input from parents, students, staff, and community members regarding the expenditure of these monies.
 
In past years the district has spent the funds on attendants, job coaching, and Braille services; program supervision; equipment/technology; behavior specialists; instructional supplies and equipment; and professional development.
