Behavioral Healthcare Partners - Youth Outpatient Recovery Services and residential programs, Courage House, serving women and their children and Spencer House, serving men, provides alcohol and drug counseling and supportive services that aid in obtaining and maintaining a sober lifestyle, obtaining employment/improving school functioning and preventing new/additional involvement with the criminal justice system. Residential programs also help clients acquire safe housing. Youth programs help parents/caregivers improve their supervision and monitoring. The School Intervention Program provides a social worker in the Southwest Licking School District to address student mental health needs by working directly with youth and/or consulting with school staff, improving their functioning in school. School Intervention and Youth Outpatient Recovery Services also offer evidence-based smoking cessation programs.
 
Camp O’Bannon - summer camp for youth ages 9-17, who are eligible for the school lunch program or considered “at-risk”, fosters development of self awareness, relationships, life skills and understanding of good nutrition/hydration.
 
Center for Disability Services - Adaptive Socialization Program provides community based social and recreational opportunities for adults who have developmental disabilities, improving their quality of life, social and daily living skills, physical and emotional health, and self-advocacy skills. Circle of Friends offers elementary- high school students, with and without developmental disabilities, an opportunity to learn about one another and develop and maintain mutual friendships. A variety of social and learning activities promote social inclusion, personal skill development and self-advocacy. Respite and Revive provides specialized respite care for children who have or are at-risk for developmental delays/disabilities. This respite care leads to reduced family stress and improved family functioning.
 
Community Support Teaming uses a best practice model to integrate treatment services and safely keep youth experiencing multiple, significant needs in their homes and community. These significant needs include health and mental health concerns, alcohol and drug use, developmental disabilities and receiving services from multiple providers.
 
Licking County Alcoholism Prevention Program (LAPP) - Outpatient offers a “safety net” of alcohol and other drug programs (Adult Outpatient, Women’s Program, and Adolescent Program) that improve quality of life and sobriety rates.
 
Mental Health AmericaMental Health & Mental Illness Education and Prevention Including Suicide Prevention Statistics tell us that one in four people will experience mental illness sometime during the course of their lives. We educate about all mental illnesses and raise awareness about preventing suicide. Call (740) 522-1341. Bridges Out of Poverty (BOP) Getting Ahead classes provide skill-building strategies to individuals and families for moving out of poverty including financial literacy and reaching personal goals to improve their lives. Compeer is a social integration and wellness program for people who are experiencing mental illness to increase their quality of life. Members meet for free activities and education. Call (740) 788-0303.
Girls In Progress is a mentoring and empowerment program for middle and high school age girls. Call (740) 788-0303.
Parent Support Program offers evidence-based educational programs to address parenting topics such as discipline and communication. Call (740) 788-0300.
Self-Advocacy MHALC has partnered with the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities to teach people with developmental disabilities (DD) self-advocacy in schools and as part of Compeer. This program educates students how to speak up, request help, negotiate, understand personal rights and responsibilities, and utilize resources.
Youth Engaged in Service (YES) is a youth development and asset building program. This afterschool safe haven and summer program inspires hundreds of young people in Licking County to be good decision makers and give back to their community. Call (740) 522-0YES (0937).
 
Pathways - Prevention Programs - Youth (elementary through high school age) increase knowledge and skills to support making choices for a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Adults increase knowledge about the dangers of prescription drug abuse. Capable Parents helps parents with children, ages 0-12, increase their ability to managing child behavior problems and increases the social and emotional competency of preschool children with conduct disorders.
 
The Woodlands - CARE provides teens (age 12-17), identified as at-risk of violent behavior, with tools to cope with anxiety, depression, stress and anger in healthy ways. Outpatient Counseling Services provides quality mental health services including individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Services include strategies to positively influence their physical health by address the effects of nutrition, diet, exercise and mindfulness on their mental health.
