After School Adventures

Many students can't wait until school's out each day. No, they don't want to run home. They are eager to go to the After School Adventures program.

The three-hour after-school program is offered Monday through Thursday to students at Heritage and Wilson middle schools from 2:45 to 5:45 p.m.

Each day, the students are provided with a snack and time to complete their homework. Upon completing their homework, students have an opportunity to improve their reading and math skills with the assistance of Stride Academy at the middle schools.

The adventure in our after school program comes when students get to do many hands-on activities, such as cooking hamburgers, painting a picture or dabbling in a science experiment. Very often, family members are a big part of our After School Adventures program. During the holidays, for example, students and their families will make cookies together. The programs also take field trips offering many fun and exciting new experiences.

After School Adventures can accommodate 40 students at each school under the guidance of two teachers and two aides. There is no fee for the program.

If you would like to enroll, just complete the registration form located on the right and drop it off at your child's school.
